For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

종교를 갖게되면 마치 천군만마를 얻은 듯 행동한다. 좋게말하면 2 Timothy 1:7 구절처럼 신이 준 힘과 사랑, 그리고 자기원칙을 지키는 동력을 얻는다. 이는 선순환적인 종교관을 갖춘 그리스도인이 될 수 있다. 다만 비종교인의 관점에서 자신이 그리스도가 되어서 이를 방패삼아 안하무인으로 행동하는 이들이 더 눈에 띈다. 이는 그리스도인이 갖춰야 할 태도 아니다.
