My Response

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and belive in you heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

오늘의 구절은 진인사대천명을 떠올리게 한다. 사람이 자신의 계획에 따라 움직여도 그 길은 결국 신이 다져놓는다. 사람이 자신이 맡은 바 소임을 다한 뒤에는 하늘의 뜻을 기다린다는 말과 결이 같다. 결국 인간의 자유의지에는 하늘의 뜻 혹은 신이 만들어놓은 길로 가고 있음을 시사한다. 우리는 우리가 누리고 이룬 것들에 대해 스스로의 능력과 재주라고 착각하곤 한다. 허나 성공한 사람들도 자신들이 운이 좋았다는 말을 할때, 나는 오늘의 구절과 진인사대천명이 생각나게 된다.
