내일에 대한 걱정을 덜라는 격언보다, 종교적인 뉘앙스가 담겨있는 구절이다. 6장 33절과 함께보면 달리 전해질 구절이나, 이 내용자체만 놓고보면 모두에게 적용될법한 말이다. 하루에도 걱정거리가 생겨나는 마당에 내일 걱정을 미리하지 말라는 말로 생각해두어도 나쁘지 않다.
